and it's just getting good. Lot's of combining showed a shape I hadn't noticed before; it's becoming elongated in a classic way.
This is why folks are disappointed with Chile. We all understand about all the stuff that's repeated ad nauseam like we don't deal with the same issues every day. But when you join in September, go into the chat room with probably the #2 newbie question, "when will Chile be online" and you hear, "any time now", you do not ever expect that a comet the following June will be too far south to observe.
It's about setting expectations and the only expectations that are being set is the need for asbestos underwear if you don't salute all progress, and accept that it will be done when it is finished.

I snapped this Boattini pic this evening:
http://www.myslooh.com/data/teide/2/WF/2008/05/19/20080519_180057_8528.jpg
It is a nice pic of Boattini in the Dome 2 WF. I believe the red streqak is a meteor which just happened to flash by during the red exposure. Does that sound right? (This pic is from another member's solo coordinate mission.)
Also, Boattini appears about 25' (east, I think, or at least toward the right in the image) from its supposed position in SkyTools 2, so the ST2 ephemerides may be a little off. Is that commn with comets?

Donald,
For comets, asteoids, and especially NEOs, I have found JPL's Horizons system to be a much more accurate ephemerides source. You can set the timespan accordingly (ex: five minutes for Member missions) and be sure to set the observer location to "Teide Observatory [954]."
The red streak is interesting. It begins with the classical squared edge of a satellite track, but ends with the tapered end of a meteor streak. I'm inclined to think it was a meteor, but I am curious to hear others' opinions.

Tavi,
Those were also my thoughts about why the streak is probably a meteor.
I checked the JPL Horizons web site for positions of Boattini. Thanks for the link. Very useful. When I re-ran the ST2 position, it agreed very closely (within 2 arc-mins) with the JPL position as well as the SLOOH pic. I must've used the wrong time when I ran ST2 last night (about 6 hours off). Oh well, it's nice when the software I'm using (SkyTools2), the authorities (JPL Horizons ephemeris), and the facts (SLOOH picture) agree.
