Gee Tony do me a favor and don't post double images as in the beginning.
Why? Because what you showed is excacty what alcohol does to one's eyes - see double when those are not there. I know somebody that tossed 20x80 binos because they thought 1 or both prisms were not aligned and it would be cheaper to get another set- oh man was that person very mistaken!!

yes Tavi it is- however simple but complex question. What is a comet? Simple a fast or slow moving mountianist mass that is made of carbon and ice - correcrt? They are ground up charcol with some atoms/compunds that are water type matter- no- not all h2o - some are Ammonia - stinks but it will cause an effect on other molecules to produce something - just as sulphar does. Perhaps as we reflect back to Shoemaker/Levy 9 which impacted Jupiter (glad it wasns't here) may produce something - time will tell.
