very nice Tony!! It's fun to watch how it gets brighter with each month. Is it predicted to brighten more or is this it?

its projected to reach Mag 10.8 in Jan 2009
Most of 2008 it will in the mag 12 - 13 range

what fun that we are able to follow this on Slooh, starting even when it was just 17th mag. Tony, thanks for preparing these images and animations and sharing them with us!

what is the path of its orbit? where in that orbit is it now, and where was it last August?

here is a quick animation of the location of the comet when taking images of it. i also added a few frame of up coming events like Perihelion and Perigee

my 1st image of it was at 6AU just out past Jupiter

well its been unviewable for 4 months and has brighten up to Mag 12.8 its tail is becoming more visible

The animation is moving a little too quickly for me to be sure - was Broughton "behind" the sun, from our point of view, these past few months?
