Well working down my list.

My 26th Comet imaged this year is Comet 46P Wirtanen, Mag 15.4 and very defuse almost like Comet 2P was. Comet 46P will really start to brighten over the next 2 months reaching Mag 8 ~ 8.2 near the end of Jan 2008

Not one of my missions but I saw someone get 46P in the edge of the wide field. reports are around Mag 8.8 now

This might be a fun comet to use for a mosaic ... side-by-side images illustrating its brightening across time.

I thought the anti-solar "tails" were from the spider, but I ws thinking, that can't be with that filter and the stars as they are...
